Why the name Sauce Sidekick?
Our founder is a home cook who often found herself reaching for simmer and cooking sauces to help her make home cooked dinners new and unique. She realized that many of the best sauces were from the small-batch, independent sauce makers.
Seeing an opportunity to help more home cooks discover the joy of using these cooking and simmer sauces she decided to start Sauce Sidekick.
The company's mission, and the name, is built on the idea of being a sidekick. Sauce Sidekick aims to help home cooks through the sauces, and the sauce makers by growing their brand's awareness.
What are simmer and cooking sauces?
Cooking and simmer sauces are a category of all-in-one, ready to use sauces that serve as a foundation for a variety of recipes and dishes.
These sauces make it easy to try something new for dinner without spending hours cooking. Simply pick your favorite protein and veggies and add the sauce (or if you’re feeling more authentic follow the suggested recipe on the jar).
When will I get my order?
We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.
We ship orders a minimum of two times per month, at the start of the month and in the middle of the month. Depending on when you order your order will go out with the next shipments. Sometimes we can ship sooner, but we don't guarantee.
Please note that larger orders may ship in multiple boxes for the same order.
We do not ship to P.O. Boxes.

How do you source the sauces?
We aim to source sauces from small-batch, independent sauce makers. We taste test all sauces to ensure they're flavorful and easy to use.
Are the sauces spicy?
We make an effort to source milder sauces. This way if you want to add spice/heat you have the option to customize the dish and make it as spicy as you like.
We should also note that WE ARE NOT A HOT SAUCE retailer. Our goal with Sauce Sidekick is to highlight the category of cooking and simmer sauces. We believe these types of sauces are best for helping home cooks discover new cuisines.
Do you have recipes for how to use the sauces?
We post recipes to our social media, follow us for regular recipe content.
Generally, the sauce manufacturers also have a suggested use or a recipe printed directly on the label.
I have a dietary restriction, should I purchase a Sauce Sidekick product?
If you purchase from Sauce Sidekick and you have a dietary restriction and/or food allergy we strongly recommend that you read the manufacturer's product label before using the sauce(s). After consulting the label, if you have additional questions regarding specific ingredients, common food allergens, manufacturing practices or nutritional information we suggest that you contact the sauce manufacturer directly before using the product(s).
